From the recording We Met In The Womb
This song was written in one day, years ago. We really wanted to make a song that advocated for the transgender community. Music is amazing because it can be a great way to represent and include so many people and topics. Reported by Forbes Magazine: 350 Transgender people had been murdered in just the year of 2020. So, if we can make a song that makes someone apart of that community feel safer, seen, and loved- and if someone who doesn’t understand can listen and learn and become more accepting, that is what this song is about.
Lyrics
TRANSFORM
It doesn’t matter what you are, who you wear, who you like
You need to be able to live your life
And if you can’t do that the way you were born don’t be afraid to transform
He’s not a guy and she’s not a girl
They’re just saying that to please the world
What’s outside is not always what’s in
Maybe he’s a she and she’s a him
It doesn’t matter what you are, who you wear, who you like
You need to be able to live your life
And if you can’t do that the way you were born don’t be afraid to transform
People think its wrong to change the way you are
They say what comes out is how you live
What’s outside is not always what’s in
Maybe he a she, and she’s a him
